Curious about the Brachiopod Trail?  Join Naturalist Lee Ann Harling to explore the flora and fauna of this 1.5 mile trail.  Begin at the nature center for this outdoor adventure.  9 – 11:00 am

Summer Wildflowers.  Explore the colorful beauty of summer with a gentle hike to discover wildflowers.  Learn a bit of legend, lore and identification.  Meet at the amphitheater.  9:00 am

What’s up with Sand.  Grab your shovel, let’s learn about sand.  Identify different rock types, learn how sand can tell time and give off light.  Meet at the amphitheater for this sandy program. 11:00 am

Hoppers and Jumpers.  Drop by the amphitheater for some high jumpers, loud croakers and fun amphibians.   Learn amazing adaptations and make a frog to take home.   1:00 – 2:00 pm

Dragons of the Air. Explore the amazing world of the dragonfly.  Drop by the amphitheater to discover these amazing flyers and make one to take home.  3:00 – 4:00pm

Walk on the Wildside.  Explore the changing forest and discover its treasures.  Meet at the amphitheater for this relaxing hike of discovery.  6:00 pm

Wild about Clouds. Come explore the clouds and all their different shapes.   Discover which clouds cause rain, and which ones cause a sunny day.  For this cloudy program, come visit the amphitheater. 1:00-2:00pm

Dressing for the Outdoors. While hiking, playing in the sand, or swimming there are many different places to prepare for at the Dunes.  Prepare for the outdoors by dressing up Ranger Steve.  For some dress up fun, come drop by the amphitheater. 10:00am-12:00pm.

Gyotaku – Fish Printing.  Discover the ancient art of Gyotaku (fish printing).  Create a wearable work of art that has fish swimming all over it.  Bring a 100% cotton item or purchase a shirt or bag at the park to print on.  Drop in between 10am and 12:00pm to participate in this great hands-on nature event.  Printing cost of $5 or purchase a shirt/bag for $5.  Play Match Your Catch to learn Wisconsin fish.  Program located at the shelter building.  10:00 – 12:00.

Whitefish Dunes State Park naturalist Carolyn Rock has a full plate for the rest of June. And don’t miss the Great Lakes shipwreck (Australasia) dive. Join us at the beach!

Ask Diver Paul.  Got a question about Great Lake Shipwrecks?  Want to know more about diving?  Curious how archeologist survey shipwrecks?  Ask Diver Paul!  Join the naturalist on the shore to ask Paul Bentley, Wisconsin State Historical Society Volunteer, these and other questions as Maritime Archeologists survey the Australasia shipwreck.  A spotting scope will be set up to view the dive vessel.  Local residents can listen in on their marine radios, channel to be announced.  This program is dependent upon the weather and diving conditions.  Location: amphitheater 10:00am – 2:00pm
